Purple Mamba (2008) is obviously unusual, even for a headless 6-string bass.  Although it has a beautiful, clean tone, it doesn’t get played enough,  mostly due to its weight- it’s made of a very dense wood, and its hardware is massive and concentrated at the bottom of the bass, making it rather unbalanced as well.

Features:

  • Headless 6-string fretted bass
  • Neck-thru
  • 35″ scale
  • Gonçalo alves, mineral-stained poplar, mahogany, birch, maple, and of course, purpleheart
  • 7-piece laminated neck
  • Fingerboard: Birdseye maple
    • 28 stainless steel frets
    • Purple LED/fiberoptic fret markers
  • ABM headless bass bridge, tuners, and headpiece
  • Bartiolini H66 pickups with NTMB EQ
