Thinking I would never see Firebird again, I built Talon in 2010 as a replacement for the stolen bass. Although the bass is a completely different design, I wanted to include some of the features that made Firebird such a great bass to play. I didn’t exactly meet my goal of a “new” Firebird, but it’s still a nice instrument, and one of my favorites.

Features:

  • 4-string fretted bass
  • Neck-thru
  • 36″ scale
  • Mahogany, black walnut, maple, birch
  • 7-piece laminated neck
  • Fingerboard: Zebrawood
    • Adjustable brass nut
    • 26 stainless steel frets
    • Blue and white MOP fret markers
    • “T” inlay at 12th fret
  • Hipshot “Super Tone” bridge
  • Schaller tuners (3)
  • Hipshot “Xtender” tuner (1)
  • EMG MMTW pickup w/ VMC midrange control
